And I don't think that the viewpoint of "sometimes you work really hard and it doesn't work out" is a viewpoint a school administration should deliberately be teaching kids.[/quote] I think everyone has missed the point that the school does multiple events to recognize kids throughout the school, not just A students. It varies from quarter to quarter but often the recognition is for everyone whose grades improved during the quarter -- even if they improved from an E to a D. It's a really varied population with a lot of different needs and the school approaches student recognition in a variety of ways. [/quote]
