I wish we hada Lifetime closer to Arlingon or in DC. Those kid programs sound amazing!
Don't get too envious. The gym is awesome (I'm a member at Reston and Sterling), but I no longer pay for my kids to go to the "academy" at reston. Those classes mentioned are sub-par. The "instructors" are low wage barely skilled workers. Even their swim program sucks. I only take my kids to Sterling now, it is only a few dollars a month and like another poster said, they have a full size court for the kids, which is critical for the older children who find the gym daycare a bore anyways. Be jealous because of the facilities and the outdoor pool, but not the childcare.
Agree 100%. We go to Reston (it's $40 per kid) because it's walking distance from our house but sterling was much better for $6 a month. I'm constantly thinking about quitting and accepting the drive again though. Classes are mediocre at best (and non-existent on a late weekend afternoons). And they close early on weekends too... :(
Or you can do what I do, I quit the kids at Reston and only take the kids to Sterling. However, I don't need the childcare on the weekdays, just weekends, so the drive is no problem. I can still go to Reston for the same price, just not with the kids. Reston has no classes because it is a ghost town. I think their kids club issue is what keeps many families away. Especially when you can go to the super crappy Reston Sport and Health for a fraction of the price. Granted S&H is a crap hole, but it still gets the job done.
