[/quote] 10% applies to medical. And keep in mind you can only deduct the amounts over 10% of AGI. So if your AGI is 40k, and your unreimbursed medical expenses are $5k you can only deduct $1k. If you've got a high deductible plan you should get an HSA account. You can deduct the contributions to it and use the funds for medical expenses. It's not use or lose so you can carry over unused amounts. [/quote]
