I get it. But my little place still has two fireplaces, beautiful wood floors with original inlays, arched doorways, built-ins, windows with muntins (just learned the word on another thread, thanks for that), crystal doorknobs, my "Letters" slot on the front door, and on and on. Over the decades they all have been changed a little here and a little there, and I love the variety of colors and details. These homes are full of family history. Once a woman whose grandparents were the first owners of my home came by and we chatted about her experiences in the house as a young child. It was fascinating.[/quote]
