NP:  It's not really changing the subject, because it is germane to the question of how damaging political scandals are.   My guess is that this is a big short term problem, and a material long term problem, for Christie, but it is not fatal, just as the IRS scandal damaged but did not destroy the Obama presidency.  Once it is old news, it has a lot less sting.  Still, it's a big oops and a big ding for Christie. [/quote]
