Charters do seem different though, since Sib preference is the only preference category (right?), so seems like hte odds there would be generally much better?  Or do I have that wrong?[/quote]

Same PP - clarification: I'm saying it seems like if I"ve got no preference of any kind for any of the schools I'm applying to, it seems like the charters are a better shot since there really is no preference other than sibling preference that trumps me (except then my random order number for that school), whereas with DCPS it's sibling AND IB that trumps me. I think that's right, with the caveat that there are some EOTP schools that have room beyond their IB populations.[/quote]
