I am sorry he died. But as I said in another thread, the need to personalize a "celebrity" death just puzzles me. Yes, he did great things. Yes his family is sad he died. But how have YOU suffered exactly? He was 95 and in poor health, how is this "an abrupt and sudden loss..." Was he a relative of yours I did not know about? Were you somehow active in the movement that I did not know about? [/quote]

Well, I get where you are coming from on the logical level.  While I was very sad about Paul Walker death, I was not reduced to tears like some.  I was more moved by Nelson Mandela's death.  He was not a celebrity, an actor or an entertainer. His mission in life was to uplift a people and a nation.  Some people, including me, are inspired by the way that he sacrificed and lived.  You never know the impact that a person like Nelson Mandela had on someone's life, including some of us that did not know him personally.  Honestly, his message has changed the way that some people view the world and their place in it.  Seems sappy but to some people, he meant that much. When I visited South Africa, visiting the place where he was imprisioned was one of the most moving experiences I have ever had. [/quote]
