DH got invited last week (so relatively) last minute & didn't realize what the gala was until we got the email invitation yesterday. When I saw that it was a gala, I got mad at him. Event sponsor has 10 tables, just f#cking ask if you can bring someone, if not FINE! But just ask.

I love DH. He is brilliant but so absent-minded sometimes! He said he didn't think to ask & I know he didn't, there was nothing malicious. Not the first time either he has done this before but again just bc he didn't know any better. Even once forgot he drove to work & took the train home, next morning thought the car was stolen. Seriously! But he is truly a good hearted, brilliant man. Just not very good socially & does the dumbest things sometimes.
