I don't understand why this is so shocking. I have zero background in teaching or tutoring. She just turned 4 and has seen the tutor maybe 8 times. She can read sight words and write. But I can't give her a book (outside of picture books) for her to read. Your 4yo's are reading simple chapter books? I guess mine is behind, so good thing she is seeing a tutor![/quote]
