We men all want a woman who works out, stays fit, etc. However, i have to think there are more important things for a mom/wife to do than train for a triathlon...seems very self-involved. And she seems like someone just collecting what she considers trophies.
Yes, I agree. Women, when they become wives and moms, must give up all things that motivate them or keep them happy so that they do not appear self-invovled. It is fine to go to go the gym or work out for an hour or so each day, but if that working out actually leads to some weekend event, well, they must be selfish.
You're overreacting to the comment. Not the pp, I AMA woman that has trained for and competed in triathlons. They vary in ranges. The shorter sprint and Olympic distances don't take a lot of time, but training for a half- ironman or ironman is very time consign. And the races are time consuming. It's not like the 2 hours to go run a 5k race. You have to check in hours early (sometimes the day before), have your helmet and bike "inspected" (this actually only takes 2 min, but a lot of the time there is a line). You have to position all your equipment. It really is a long process that isn't just a couple hours.
