Buy your friend some thank you notes in advance and have the envelopes at the shower for each guest to fill out their mailing address directly onto the envelope and then give them to your friend. This will save her a ton of time in addressing thank you notes and one less thing she'll have to do.
HATE this. If people can find time to shop, wrap, and bring a gift while attending a party if her honor, the woman can address and write a flipping note. If you already mailed the invites, and you have the addresses, YOU address her envelopes if you want.
Really? Ou HATE this? How do you feel about war and hunger in the underdeveloped countries then? Wow! She'll be an overwhelmed mom of a newborn with no time to ear poop or shower. This is an awesome idea. Sorry you're so grumpy today. I hope your day improves.
You know, I'm with PP. Sending a thank you note is a nice, gracious thing to do. I definitely wouldn't vilify someone who didn't get the chance to send them. But if you're going to do it, do it the right way. Having people address envelopes, it's kind of sending the message, "Make doing this dumb chore as easy as possible for me ok!" But I don't know, I actually like writing heartfelt thank you notes and even addressing them!!
That's actually the point. And even the point of most of the gifts she'll get. Caring for a baby is tough work so we're there to make her experience easier and enjoyable.
Dude. Nobody is asking the guests to write their own thank you note. Its an address. It really upsets you that someone is trying to save her some time?
