a few years back, CHEC aka Bell Multicultural HS was in the top 50 even though even though it is a known fact that the school is a drop out factory.
It was Maria Tukeva and her PR people who made a big deal about it until they realized how rediculous it sounded and looked.
Teachers were writing blogs about how students who could barely read at 6th grade level were forced to take multiple AP classes.

Just because one school was able to game the system one year does not allow you to throw out the baby with the bathwater.
