It's more complicated than that.

GP and Gonzaga are similar and increasingly compete for some of the same students. But Gonzaga is twice the size of GP, is much more diverse and offers an urban setting/experience. Gonzaga location offers a challenge that GP's does not. But Gonzaga students learn things about city life that few other schools can offer. Both schools do a very good job with their top students.

Landon, STA and Sidwell all have different target markets and different personalities. People who send their boys to GP or Gonzaga rarely consider these other Independnets.[/quote]

Not true at least for probably most native Washingtonians that attended DC private school themselves.  We consider all of the Independents and make our choice based on what we think is the best fit for our DC.  [/quote]
