Exactly. The negative posters on this thread need to get out a little bit more. The sport is exploding in popularity because it is being made availabe to all economic strata, both in inner cities and country high schools. And the notion that only rich white kids play is ridiculous, go or watch a game on TV and you'll see. Lacrosse teams (youth rec, high school, and club) emphasize character, integrity, and [b]high academic achievment[/b].  And that's not lip service, the coaches will yank a player for failure to demonstrate good behavior on or off the field.  The unfortunate actions of a few in recent years has tainted the overall perception of lacrosse players, but the players and coaches today are working hard to dispell the myth.  [/quote]
