It is really cleaned up and developed around campus now, but when I went there we were 2-3 blocks from places that looked like sets from The Wire. We never left campus and the people from the neighborhood rarely came onto campus, except some HS kids that would hang out in the library for the free computers and Internet. Your kid will be fine at JHU if that's what she chooses and she might even learn not to be afraid of all people who happen to be poor or black. [/quote]
