Catholicism is not a la carte. Why bother attending mass when so many of your beliefs contradict fundamental Catholic positions?
' What century are you living in? My mom, her cousins and all her friends used birth control while going to church every week way back in the 1970s -- all across the DMV! Cafeteria line Catholics surround you, my dear.
I'm addressing the *a la carte* poster: You're one the reasons why ppl are leaving the church by the masses - so much for acceptance! We belong to St. Marys, one of the most conservative churches in NoVA, however, there are many closet liberals - and I'm proud to admit and say I'm a liberal Catholic. I believe in acceptance, gay marriage, birth control, pro-choice and social justice. I'm sure if Jesus were alive today, he'd be a liberal. I can't relate to the self-righteous, self-centered conservative Catholics.
I doubt he'd be pro choice.
