Someone might call me a helicopter dog owner because he's never left to roam unsupervised. But I'm OK with that because I'll never have to post about my dog having a ball of yarn blocking in his intestine.
??? "roam unsupervised" What does that mean? Roam around he neighborhood like a stray or roam around the house or the yard? Sure, no one should let their dog roam around the neighborhood unsupervised. But I've had several dogs in my lifetime. They were allowed to walk around the house or the yard "unsupervised" and none of them ever had any problems with something blocking their intestines.
I meant around the house and yard. Yes, some (very few) dogs can be trusted to ignore their surroundings, but curiosity gets the best of many, especially food-motivated dogs who put anything and everything in their mouths.
