When my mastiff was 8-9 months old he looked full grown to some people and even though he was trained, he was also adolescent and needed more training then.  I think non dog owners should be more educated BEFORE they make rash judgements.  And if they dont want to educate themselves on it, then deal.  
And as a comparison, a 2 year old boy looked up my skirt yesterday and giggled.  I gently told him it wasnt ok to do that and smiled at hi taking him back to his mom who was mortified. I didnt then judge her.  He is 2. I would have felt differently if he were 8. [/quote]
