I don't understand this.  You can't hold six slots in DCPS, you can apply to a max of six schools - [u]big[/u] difference.  You can no longer hold unlimited charter slots either, what you can do, is apply to an unlimited number of schools.

Actually, that not true. You can apply to unlimited charters - Yes, and only 6 DCPS - Yes. BUT if you get accepted to all the charter schools you apply to you can enroll your child in each school and hold all those spots until "count day".

Same for DCPS. If you get accepted into your 6th choice in the original pull and then get pulled off the waitlist for the other 5 schools you can enroll in each one and again hold all the spots until "count day". this is intriguing [/quote]
