new poster here. We took first dose of rota at 2 months and DS threw up for 10 days, and lost a significant amount of his body weight. It was very scary and it was definitely linked to the vaccine, our doctor confirmed that it was probably a side effect - she said some vomiting was normal but excessive vomiting rarer but still considered a side effect. They do happen. We were approaching hospitalization but nursing - constant, constant nursing - kept him just hydrated enough. Suffice it to say no more doses for us. Honestly, I felt like our baby never ate the same way since.
I am the 21:31 poster who asked about side effects and the reason I asked was because DS also started vomiting every single time he ate following the vaccine (at 2 mo) until he was 7 months. He had never even spit up once until he had the roto vaccine and suddenly he projectile vomited at every feeding and needed to nurse constantly. Ped said it had nothing to do with vaccine and treated for reflux but I find it too coincidental that the reflux suddenly started the day after he got the vaccine. He also had bright orange stools for a month or two -- I've lost track of time now that he's 1+.
