Essentially there and East are quite safe. I have worked in the area for 21 years, my wife lived in this area before we met and married and I have many, many friends in the area. I've spent a LOT of time in this area over the last 20 years and the area east of Kenilworth Ave is much safer than the area west of Kenilworth. The area along Hanover Parkway is not walkable to the Metro, but you can take Metrobuses to either Greenbelt station on the Green line or New Carrollton station on the Orange line.[/quote]
