Keep in mind, everyone, that college admission stats are also affected by the number of legacy kids. That is: many of the kids at top schools who go on to Ivies have a parent who attended the same school. Ask the schools about how the non-legacy kids fare in college admissions.
Ah, so those GDS kids are (Jewish) legacies. This board gets more nefarious by the post.
Huh? Did the PP say anything at all about Jewish kids, legacies or otherwise? Quit being paranoid. PP that college admissions stats at elite private schools are affected by the number of legacy kids. Children whose parents attended elite colleges are (unsurprisingly!) frequently found at elite high schools, and since most private universities give preference admissions to alumni kids, those kids get a "boost" in college admissions that is due to their legacy status rather than to the educational quality of the school or even it's college counseling. This is not a particularly controversial statement, and it has nothing to do with religion. If anything, the legacy admission boost is deeply discriminatory towards those minorities less likely to have had parents at elite schools, e.g., Asian-Americans.
