None of this is your fault and you don't need to give the cat away unless you decide that's absolutely what you want to do. Try working on it some more and accept that co-existing sometimes means these things happen. My 12-year-old cat tried to bite me when I was cutting his nails last night. I'm not giving him away but I'm definitely careful when I do things like that with him now. Good luck![/quote]
