OP here--While the sick leave debate has been interesting, I'm still wondering if anyone in Urban Mom Land has taught for both counties and has any input on that. Thanks!!
So....am I happy I made the move? Yes, I am. At times I am frustrated with issues within ACPS, but I am closer to home now. The pay scale is a bit better in ACPS. The number of days worked is more (including student days and teacher work days). The PD can be frustrating at times...there seems to be more of it here, and a good chunk is wasted time (issues with many consultants and too many programs...I don't recall this many while I was in FCPS). What level are you looking at? ES, MS or HS?
I have also worked under those three superintendents. My how things have changed. What is "PD"?
