That was a personal message to that individual that claimed to follow the commandments (which nobody but Christ has ever done) Christ was illustrating to the man that he was breaking a commandment and that he needed a savior since the man went sadly away afraid to give up his safety and trust god .  To the homosexual Christ would have said give up your sodomy and follow me!

Funny how all the messages from Christ to eschew material things are "personal messages" that can be safely ignored by his more materialistic followers. You are right that the only person who followed the Christian religion is Christ. It's tough to follow the religion. That's why no one actually does.[/quote]
