We used to live on the Chevy Chase side of the neighborhood, off of Grubb, and it did feel like sketchy Chevy Chase. There were frequent car break-ins, and multiple neighbors had home robberies or attempted robberies. I often saw teenagers around who appeared to be casing the street. I was once almost car-jacked at the traffic light at EW Hwy and Grubb. Our street was one of the nicer ones too- bigger homes, and some tear downs and major renovations. We did have nice, unpretentious neighbors. While in was convenient and close-in, and I had a posh-sounding Chevy Chase address, I couldn't wait to get out of there!
