Yes, she'll be in the pool next year regardless of how she does on the CoGAT. A 149 is extremely high and well past the traditional cut score in the low 130's.  The second grade teachers and Advanced Academic teacher will meet to review her class work and rate her using something called a "Gifted Behaviors Rating Scale." They will complete a packet that is turned into the Advanced Academic office who then makes the decision about who to accept into the program. As a parent, you can submit a questionnaire to go along with that packet. [/quote][/quote]

Just bc a child is in a pool it doesn't mean that he/she will be eligible for AAP. The committee will observe NNAT, CogAt, GBRS, and samples.[/quote]
