"very rigorous and well-regarded DC private school" means all of those schools you listed in your OP are on the table. Haters will trash me for saying this and insist it's not true but it is. Those grades at a rigorous private are worth a lot. [/quote]

This is very true for a truly elite private. But the low SAT score is inconsistent with the decent grades for a truly elite private.[/quote]
