Vehicles have been using them for decades and big rigs drive across the US everyday with turbo engines.[/quote] You clearly know nothing about engines. A turbo diesel is a very, very different engine than a turbocharged gasoline engine. Diesel engines are massively overbuilt to deal with the insane pressures of compression ignition and forced induction. Gasoline engines are constructed to be just heavy enough not to grenade themselves under hard use. They literally weigh 1/3 of what a similarly sized diesel engine weighs. There is a HUGE difference.
