And underclassman have little opportunity. They want to make sure you're committed and have some coursework under your belt. I see the rational, but there are plenty of kids who, once they finally spend time in a clinical setting, decide not to pursue med school and that happens a lot later at Penn. If you know you're med school bound, it's probably not an issue[/quote]
