The US coddles their kids and tries to justify their actions based on "potential". Tiger Moms/Dads based their actions on actual results. Bright kids will excel; it's the "middle of the road" kids that benefit best from pushing, IMO. [b]But most kids simply aren't bright[/b]...and if they are, they aren't also motivated.
