All of what people are seeing is selection based on likelihood of admission based on other hooks (e.g., legacy/donor). Private HS know about these as they create their classes. As PP noted, this is also what you're seeing at Boston Latin in a different form (faculty kids). In both cases, there's an underlying variable driving both admissions that is not a school's "feeder" status.[/quote]
