My kids both visited schools they liked on paper, but the feel of the campus was abysmal to them. WashU has a beautiful campus in which they clearly invest a great deal of resources - it also just feels like a happy place. But as the previous poster noted, not many are in STL by chance and do a campus visit because it's convenient (which is when my kids saw Chicago, Philadelphia and DC schools). My daughter attends a school in the NE but visited a close friend at WashU, and it made her encourage her little brother to put the school on his list and try to tour it. [/quote]
