Isn't Hegseth an alcoholic and an adulterer? How are people thinking christianity makes you a good person? How are people so dumb to "believe" him? I don't understand
The “born again” types tend to be evil AF.
That's been my experience. They can just do something else evil or unethical and then get "born again" again. Jesus would not be into bombing people.
More importantly, it means NOTHING about being a good person. That is what people have to understand. Either you're a good human being, or you're not. and there are a lot of things implicit in religion that makes people bad humans. Just look at what people that believe they were "chosen" by a mythical god have brought to the world.
So what you're saying is Christians are inherently bad people.
NP. the Christians who hinge on "Jesus's forgiveness" are inherently bad people. People who are actually good people, of all religions and non-religion, don't need to be forgiven because they're not doing anything so terrible. And it's really not a difficult choice for us.
“For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Christian doctrine states that everyone needs forgiveness, not just people you decided are bad.
Well, some people use "forgiveness" as a cover for their wrongdoing. Not all actions are the same. Me leaving the mirrors turned in and the wipers turned up of someone who parked too close to me, is not the same as someone who harms a child, or steals from someone, or justified murder and war for the sake of god's alleged plan.
You mess with someone’s car if they park too close to you? What if it is an old person or a distracted parent who didn’t mean too, and they drive and don’t realize you messed with their mirrors and get in a wreck and someone gets hurt? What if their child gets injured or killed or another person who didn’t even park next to you? I really need my mirrors to drive safely.
