This technology disrupts humanities-trained—largely Democratic—voters, and makes their economic power less. And increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, working-class voters,” Karp said in a CNBC interview Thursday. “And so these disruptions are gonna disrupt every aspect of our society. And to make this work, we have to come to an agreement of what it is we’re going to do with the technology; how are we gonna explain to people who are likely gonna have less good, and less interesting jobs.” These poeple are lunatics. https://newrepublic.com/post/207693/palantir-ceo-karp-disrupting-democratic-power
That is BS. It will take money away from everyone and concentrated it in the hands of a few. The vast majority of blue collar and white collar jobs will be gone. China is way a head of the US and is automating everything. They are automating coal mines with AI. 64% reduction in employees and 80% increase in tons produced. In their factories there are so few assembly line workers that the factories are call dark factories because the lights are off. Logistics and warehousing are the same. Welding and material handling, quality inspection, construction jobs and drivers all being are being replaced with automation. They have factories that build houses to local code and are assembled on site. Electrical and plumbing done in the factory. The cost savings are huge but also greatly reduces the number of skilled construction workers needed. Look at the US. 3.5 million truckers in the US making an average of $71,000 a year. That will be taken over by automation. Uber and Lift will be replaced with driverless vehicles.
