To the earlier poster who mentioned a whole chicken in an Instant Pot - would love to know what cooking instructions you use and an idea of what recipes you use the chicken for! Thank you.
DP. I use the recipe from Natasha’s Kitchen in an 8-qt Instant Pot. We seldom have leftovers because my crew will tear into it like savages and the dogs get the remaining morsels. I save the carcass to make stock. The recipe has plenty of ideas though. https://natashaskitchen.com/instant-pot-whole-chicken/
I'm the PP who mentioned it, and that's the same recipe I use! I do like to put it under a broiler to crisp the skin afterward. We have it for the first meal just as regular chicken pieces, with the kind of sides you'd have with roasted chicken - mashed potatoes, roasted broccoli or brussel sprouts, salad, etc. If there are any leftovers, I shred them for enchiladas, tacos, chicken salad, sandwiches, or pasta. Then the stripped bones go back in the instant pot to make more broth.
