My kid who is in AP Spanish has not found it to be that hard and has enjoyed the classes and teachers. Kid doesn’t understand why so many people describe it as difficult and thinks the descriptions on this board are way overblown.
It's a commonly held belief among the students. Your kid reads this board?
No, but I’ve shown my kid the posts and asked if Spanish is as hard as people here make it out to be. Kid says no, but maybe my kid is relatively strong in languages? I’m not disputing that kids at TJ think Spanish is hard—there are countless posts about that—but merely noting that YMMV and it ma depend on how one approaches the class.
I didn't tell my kid spanish was disproportionately hard. My kid told me. If your kid wants to take spanish in school that is great. They can do something more productive with their summers than Spanish.
