Community college is a great option but for it to work in a transfer situation, the student really needs to be dedicated, understand all the requirements, and not prioritize work over academics. Go to admitted students day. If he is still unhappy, then maybe consider NVCC then. But if he goes that route, he needs to be entirely focused on that. OP: It is not taking a 'a year or two off at NVCC.' It is prioritizing it just like any serious student would at any four year college.[/quote]
