Everyone's breast cancer journey is their own and there are so many factors. The statement above is wrong. Treatments are advancing and changing constantly and even data from 5-10 years ago is often an underestimate of positive outcomes because protocols are advancing so rapidly. I'm coming up on 5 years from diagnosis of stage 1A triple positive at age 33. I had a lumpectomy, chemo, radiation, and Herceptin and have been NED since early 2022. I thought it would never happen that "I have cancer" wouldn't be the first thing on my mind when I woke up and about 1000 times through the day, but somehow it isn't now and I've been living life again for quite awhile.
