I was raised in a house full of girls and this was not on my radar until I had two (tall) boys. People comment on their height so much, their friends’ moms worry about their sons’ heights, the boys tease each other about height. It's gotten worse imo due to social media, and it can sting at any time: For instance the new Love is Blind. Amber makes it about Chris's height despite the man having every fault on the planet, people go on and on about "Napoleon complex". There is a whole "short king" narrative to counter it but it's assumed a guy who is short is inferior unless they demonstrate x, y or z quality. [/quote]

There is so much to say about him that excludes something that cannot be changed. Imagine how short guys at home feel hearing it. Bringing up how doughy he is would have been fair game since he was criticizing Jess for not being in shape enough and he's not in shape at all himself. Height? No. [/quote]
