It's unfortunate that you have no idea what you're talking about. While Elrich and the County Council have final say on the CIP, like the Operating Budget, Taylor and the BOE do make recommendations that get kicked over to the County Exec and Council to adjust.

No, I just remember when Wootton's renovation money in the CIP was zeroed out, when the Kid Museum got millions (enough for an annual pass for several grade levels) yet no one can seem to remember what it was spent on, stuff like that...

I guess you don't know what 'trolling' means?  I wasn't implying you're powerful.  Quite the opposite, in fact.  I meant that you're whining about relatively minor issues without examining the underlying facts behind them.

For example, the whiner about the AI purchase probably doesn't realize that Volt AI is on GSA schedule and most other camera AI systems are owned by / run by / located in / administered by countries that do not have the best interests of the US at heart.  A security professional would know that, but not some whiny parent on an anonymous blog.  Stuff like that.[/quote]
