SSIMS. You mean the school closing in 2031 because of roof leaks, outdated plumbing, and poor air quality so it can be converted into a "holding school" for other renovating buildings? Wootton: More like "incredulous unrepresentative marginal segment" and the "city derelict in their duty to encourage MCPS asbestos removal within their city boundaries'. Magruder: Taylor doesn't control the CIP, the County Executive and County Council does. Blame them. MBLI: You mean Brenda Wolff (VP) and Grace Rivera-Oven (P)'s pet charter school that the Sup and everyone else on the BoE (to include even the student rep) voted to shut down? Muslim MCPS Families: thanks to that, everyone got school pushed to the end of June. Happy now? Arcola: you mean the one where 80 kids skip school in the summer because MCPS instituted the "innovative calendar" as a babysitting tool for parents? Go fish. Not sure why you think Taylor's job is in trouble. The only one I hope gets pushed out of their job early is the OP.
It's unfortunate that you have no idea what you're talking about. While Elrich and the County Council have final say on the CIP, like the Operating Budget, Taylor and the BOE do make recommendations that get kicked over to the County Exec and Council to adjust. SOURCE: https://bethesdamagazine.com/2025/10/14/mcps-cip-facilities-issues/ Why don't you know this?
Um. Because I can recommend World Peace. Doesn't mean I'm gonna get money for it?
You think the County Exec and Council don't use Taylor's and the BOE's recommendations as the basis for theirs? You can see that they do just by looking at the two. You must be trolling.
No, I just remember when Wootton's renovation money in the CIP was zeroed out, when the Kid Museum got millions (enough for an annual pass for several grade levels) yet no one can seem to remember what it was spent on, stuff like that... Trolling is trying to get the guy fired with flimsy examples. It's not like he approved, oh I don't know, 160 million dollars worth of electric buses that are driving up everyone's electric bills...
If a post on DCUM cataloguing parent and community outrage in the news caused by Taylor/MCPS's blunders is enough to get him fired, then I'm more powerful than I thought!
I guess you don't know what 'trolling' means? I wasn't implying you're powerful. Quite the opposite, in fact. I meant that you're whining about relatively minor issues without examining the underlying facts behind them. For example, the whiner about the AI purchase probably doesn't realize that Volt AI is on GSA schedule and most other camera AI systems are owned by / run by / located in / administered by countries that do not have the best interests of the US at heart. A security professional would know that, but not some whiny parent on an anonymous blog. Stuff like that.
You dismissive troll.
