You may be putting it mildly. DH and I are among the whitest of whites (like 100% European ancestry) and even we wouldn’t name our kid Heather, Sarah, or Jennifer (or any other name of that variety). I’m glad we seem to be moving away from boring names that hundreds of thousands of people in a generation share. We do need to stay away from [b]tragedeighs [/b]as the same time, though.[/quote]

Yes but there's a fine line between tragedeigh and judgment. We should just let people do what they want to do and not make assumptions about them or the families. We think the variant "Cady" is classy but not "Marleigh"... like who are you, or me, to say?

I don't mind Heather, Sarah or Jennifer if it's what you love. But don't $h*t on other peoples' name choices, especially when they have the audacity to be from another culture (how dare they).[/quote]
