My DCs don’t have expensive tastes - they don’t care what brand clothes they wear, eat reasonable types of food, and participate in relatively affordable sports/activities. But starting with daycare in the early years (24k/yr each), now summer camps - I want them to go somewhere that actually might be enriching and they won’t have untrained teenagers who are on cell phones “watching” them, after school care during elementary school, saving for college, and all of the therapies/tutoring for a mild SN DC, expenses seem to keep going up!
