Execs are exaggerating how much AI is really being utilized because it makes their company look more cutting edge than their competitors. Is it used? Yes. Is it replacing most of the jobs. No. The reason there have been so many layoffs in the past year is because tech companies over hired during covid. IBM (I'll use that example again) stayed lean, but now they are hiring like crazy.[/quote]
