I have a Mirena IUD which is proving the progesterone.  And I had no problems with the Sandoz brand and dosing.  When I had to switch to another brand bc of shortages of Sandoz last year, I started having hot flashes again.  The lining of my uterus also increased - I can't say for certain it was because of the other brand of patch but it happened at the same time.  So I am very reluctant to change patch brands again - but of course, I cannot find the Sandoz brand in pharmacies, so I'm stuck.  [/quote]

Not PP, but I vaguely remember my doctor bringing the chance of this (thickened uterine lining) up when I first went on hrt a couple of years ago, but she hasn't ordered any ultrasounds...[/quote]

You can ask for an ultrasound just to check. Seems like some doctors are more proactive about that than others. But if you’re taking progesterone  regularly then it should be ok.[/quote]
