If you want student athletes at practice until 10:30-11 thats on you[/quote] Why is that the end all be all? I don’t have a problem with sports but ending elementary school at nearly 4pm is horrible. Many of these kids aren’t getting home until close to 5 with bus rides. Then they need to play when they get home but it’s almost dinner time, and many of these kids are still going to bed pretty early. The early years of adding in homework are particularly tough on that schedule.[/quote] My 3rd grader ends school at 3:35pm. She gets plenty of playtime, sleep, and time to do homework.[/quote]
