[/quote] You will need to provide some kind of proof. When I got my money back it was from NY State for bearer bond coupons that I was 3 years late in cashing. Because banks no longer knew how to do the cashing. I actually had the coupons in my possession. So I sent Xeroxes of them and got my money. The bond issuers' payment bank was legally required to turn the not paid out money to the state after a few years or so. They didn't have any contact information for me because it was a bearer bond (cash-like without any registration - such bonds are from olden times and are obsolete now).[/quote]
