Early forties is not old. I looked my absolute best at age 40 even after having 3 kids. If you don’t even have kids, take good care of yourself, you can easily look good and attract men of all ages. I’m pushing 50 and definitely no longer at my peak.
40 is old. Stop living in denial. The only way looked your best at 40 is if you were fat before that. 40 year olds can look OK at a distance, but once you get close...
I don't know about your best but our company recently merged with another and my coworkers could not tell which of our new coworkers were what age between 25 and about 49. A woman we thought was in her 30s is late 40s and another we thought was in her late 30s is 25 and another who everyone thought was 40s is 30s.
This is no compliment. If someone is getting your age so wrong at work it means you don’t project experience or authority.
No it just shows how hostile corporate world is to younger looking prettier women. They are presumed to be dumb, not projecting authority etc
You are assuming an inverse. The alleged story was that a coworker was 10-20 years older than they appeared. People don’t guess age merely on wrinkles - they guess it based on how you act and present.
