Ok, but shouldn't Republicans care about this? If they are focused on safety for US citizens, this is basically a recipe for disaster. Again, thinking of the one hospital security officer who made a bad situation more unstable and unsafe - but now we have unleashed people like that across the country.

I don't really care about what a majority of Americans think. A majority of Americans are very lazy in thought and make no effort to seek out all the information on an issue. A majority of Americans want an easy button, be spoonfed narratives, want the shallow "feel good" and are tactical thinkers at best, and certainly not strategic thinkers.

To be clear, another thread showed research that liberals are far more likely to seek out and research opposing viewpoints than conservatives. So whatever you claimed about being spoonfed narratives, well research shows that is Republicans, like it or not. If you want a receipt, happy to provide.
