[/quote] While I agree that housing prices and rental prices are a huge problem in this country, the bolded has ALWAYS been true. I only knew two people in my whole 20s who had their own place, and they were both considered by everyone else to be burning money. Everyone else had roommates. You don't need a friend - you find people... however kids find people these days (in my day it was Craigslist, I'm sure it's something else now). It's completely absurd to expect to be able to live alone at 23. [/quote]
